Confirmation | Pastor Andy Lissy

Our confirmation classes teach the basic building blocks of the Lutheran faith, so that our young people can apply these truths to their lives.  Confirmation instruction is only one stage in a life-long growing process in our Christian faith. Attending confirmation classes provides our youth an opportunity to grow in their faith and set a course to develop their understanding of Christ's teachings.

Education | Jean-Marie Galing

The Education ministry serves Living Savior Lutheran Church by providing congregation members of all ages with the appropriate programs that foster Christian spiritual growth, Bible exploration, connections to Martin Luther's Small Catechism, and an understanding of Lutheran Church traditions. Children, young adult, and adult Sunday School classes and summer Vacation Bible School are provided to promote Christian Education. Bring your entire family and join us on Sunday mornings and feed your soul!

Fellowship | Nick Cook

The Fellowship Ministry celebrates Christian Fellowship throughout the year by providing a variety of Christ-centered activities and events. Some of our previous Fellowship events are Mystery Dinner, Christmas Progressive Dinner, Suppers of Eight, Family Bingo Night, Chili Cook-off, and Wine Tasting. Events this year will include a Cooking Demonstration by Chef Chaz, a 1950s themed Valentine Dinner, Family BBQ & Country Concert, and Rally Day Picnic. Come join the fun!

Music and Worship | Minister of Worship/Music Dr. Wallace Horton

The Music Ministry offers many opportunities for personal involvement in the Worship Service. The Chancel Choir leads the singing of hymns and liturgy and presents scripture-based anthems each Sunday. Instrumentalists and vocalists in the Modern Worship Ensemble lead the Modern Worship Service at selected 11:00 services. Solos and musical ensembles also provide opportunities for worshipers to participate. Sunday school children present a Christmas Program. Worship is our response to what God has done for us through Jesus. "Music has the power to take us into the realm of the Spirit."

Outreach | Ric Weyrick and Bob Willuweit

In truth, every Ministry (and every congregant!) at Living Savior is a means to Evangelize.  We reach out to the community to share the Gospel by both word and deed.  Sometimes in partnership with other Ministries such as Fellowship, Social, and Music, we host and participate in community outreach efforts such as concerts, Open Houses, picnics, Christmas Tree sales, and other service events to which we invite friends, neighbors, and co-workers, while advertising them as well to include our local community.  We are also heavily involved with our Vicar in the expanding George Mason University Campus Ministry.  Make a difference, and become an active part of fulfilling our Great Commission - join us in helping spread the Good News!

Preschool | Terri Kiss

At Living Savior Preschool, our program offers young children one of the best opportunities for achieving the goals of a Christian education outside of the home. Our school can help children develop healthy personalities, form values and develop the conscience, feelings, and attitudes which build the foundation for a positive self-image and good relationships.

Property | Steve Galing, Nancy Randall

Living Savior is blessed with a beautiful sanctuary and a thriving preschool. The purchase of the North property added the Vicar’s house and several more acres of land. Between maintenance of the buildings and the extensive property there is always a need. If you have skills in carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, a desire to crank up your chain saw, or just a willingness to devote your time and labor there is a place for you with the Property Ministry! We support large work days in the Spring and Fall, and there are always on-going projects throughout the year.

Social | Miki Kolton and Steve Thomas

At Living Savior, we rejoice in knowing that we are the Body of Christ.  We are called to love one another and to feed His sheep.  Join us as we serve Him by serving others as the “hands and feet” of our Savior by participating in the Social Ministry projects: Crop Walk, Shelter House/NOVACO (Back to School supplies, Thanksgiving boxes, Christmas Angel Tree, tutoring, translation services, meals, emergency supplies etc.), Fellowship Square Foundation pantry items, Concordia Food Ministry, Operation Christmas Child, meal packing for Central Union Mission, meals at hypothermia shelter, Wounded Warrior Chaplain’s Closet, disaster relief, refugee support and more.

Stewardship | Chuck Froemke

Living Savior’s Stewardship Ministry focuses on Christian stewardship, which is the free and joyous activity of the child of God, and God’s family, the church, in managing all of life and life’s resources, for God’s purpose. In Christ we are freed to give and freed to serve!

Youth | Ben and Ellena Pollock

The Youth Ministry provides an opportunity for youth, grades 6 through 12, to socialize, try new experiences, and discuss things that are important in their lives.  We meet twice a month and have dinner, play games, and have a short discussion.  We also take trips to places such as Rebounderz, canoeing, rock climbing, and bowling.
