Potluck Dinners
Early in the school year families may participate in potluck suppers. On these evenings, Living Savior families gather together to enjoy homemade food and fellowship. These suppers provide a way for families to spend time getting to know one another better. Many lasting friendships are begun at these events.
Fall Festival
Each Autumn Living Savior holds a Fall Festival for its preschool families. This is a great time for parents, children and staff to come together to enjoy a fun day of Fall activities. Children enjoy the moon bounces, train ride, games and prizes, crafts, hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy. Families have an opportunity to spend time together with other Living Savior families and staff members.
Fall Music Program
Fun Fall songs are performed for parents after the children parade in their costumes through the building.
Christmas Music Program
A musical Christmas Pageant allows students the opportunity to share the Christmas Story through songs they have learned to help them celebrate the birth of our living savior, Jesus Christ.
Spring Music Program
The Spring Program for 2008 was Over the Rainbow. Special thanks to our Music teacher Miss Darlynne for her time and talent.
Special Person Tea
In Spring each class prepares a tea to which each student may invite a special person. The students prepare the food and decorations, create a gift to give their special person, and typically perform a few songs or a play at the tea.
Field Trips and Presentations
Field trips and in-school presentations vary among classes, but include: Fire Safety Puppet Show, Fire Engine Visit, Tiny Tots Christmas Concert, Grocery Store, Hidden Pond Nature Center, Audobon Society Nature Walk, Scales and Tails Presentation, Planetarium.
