Living Savior’s MISSION is to know the love of Christ and serve God so that the Holy Spirit may work through us to bring others to Christ.
Nursery is provided for small children ages 4 and younger during the worship services and Sunday School from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in room #2 in the Educational Wing. Susanna Honeycutt is the attendant. Please register your children in the nursery so she can get to know them.

Flowers this week were given by John and Karen Heinz in celebration of their wedding anniversary.
The Small Group Home Bible Study invites you to join them on Sunday, September 19th, 5 - 7:30 p.m. All are welcome! Come for an evening of dinner, singing, prayer, and Bible Study at the home of Chuck and Henni Froemke, 9713 Oak Bridge Place, Fairfax Station, 703-635-2131. Babysitting will be provided.
Chancel Choir rehearsal will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 pm. Voices are needed for all parts. Jr. High through adults are welcome and encouraged to join. The choir supports the singing of the hymns and liturgy, as well as presenting a special anthem each Sunday and at special services during the year. Women in Prayer are meeting Tuesday’s at the church at 9:30-11:45 a.m. Their current study is titled “Have a Mary Heart in a Martha World” by Joanna Weaver. See you in September! Lifelight, an in-depth bible study, is on recess for the summer months. We will begin again September 15th with our fall study being the “Book of Judges”. New Bible Study Forming: "The Truth Project" created by Focus on the Family: "Do you believe, that what you believe, is really real?" A 13-week DVD based bible study that will meet every Sunday evening starting Sept 12th through late November from 5:30-7:30 p.m.- childcare will be available. Location will depend on number of people who sign up. Each DVD is approximately 1 hr in length with discussion afterward. No pre-work required...just come with a willingness to learn what it means to see the world through the lens of a biblical world-view ... you won't be disappointed! Study will be hosted by the Neuburgers (neuburgers@cox.net, 703-830-1650) and Topoleskis (jefftopo@yahoo.com. 703-278-8385). Feel free to contact us with any questions.
No Junior Church and Kids Club Today! Junior Church and Kids Club will resume their regular schedule next Sunday, September 12th, and will meet every Sunday during 11 a.m. worship. Children ages 5 - 11 are invited to dismiss from the sanctuary following the Children’s Lesson for devotions and songs. Please contact Sarah Ruhl, SarahDRuhl.aol.com to help.

Rally Day is next Sunday, Sept. 12th! Sunday School staff and members of the Council and Board of Servant leaders will be installed during both services. Between services a Special Congregational Assembly will be held to discuss the potential purchase of 5428 Ox Rd which is the house and land to the north of LSLC. Following the 2nd service at approximately 12:30 p.m. will be the Rally Day picnic, sponsored by our Fellowship Committee. At the same time will be the Youth Car Wash! A lot is happening, so we hope everyone will come and help kick off the beginning of our new church year.
A new Sunday Snack schedule has been posted. Please select a Sunday when your family would be available to bring the Sunday morning snack.
FAST approaching is Rally Day and an opportunity to energize the congregation for our ministries. With the new sanctuary just about complete, we want to set aside some time to pray for LSLC. Please join us on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9 a.m. in the Youth Room to pray for our church ministries, our strategic vision, and our ability to discern God's plan for LSLC. September 12
Car Wash : The youth will again be holding a Car Wash as part of the activities on Rally Day following the 11 a.m. service. They are looking forward to helping everyone return home that day with a clean car!
The September Youth Group Meeting will be held after the car wash from 2:30 - 5:00 p.m. We will be planning activities and service projects for the year, so be sure to bring all your ideas of things you would like to do!

COMMUNION POLICY: Everyone who is a baptized Christian, repents of sin, believes in the real presence of Christ's body and blood in, with, under the bread and wine of the Holy Communion is cordially invited to receive the Lord's Supper at Living Savior. To receive wine by individual cup, take a cup from the serving tray and wait for Pastor to say "The Blood of Christ", then return the cup to server that follows Pastor. To receive wine by the common cup (chalice), take the base & tilt to receive the amount you wish. If you wish to receive white grape juice, there are individual cups in the center of the tray.
