First Annual Men's Retreat Held

Over the weekend of October 9-11, twenty two men from Living Savior joined in the first annual men’s retreat at the Sandy Cove Ministries Retreat Center in Northeast, Maryland. Among the participants were Pastor Andy, Pastor Fred Klein and Pastor Jon Frusti. Pastor Frusti led the retreat in bible study and discussions around the theme of “To Be a Man of God You Need to Know the Son of Man”. In addition to the bible study, the participants enjoyed the opportunity to get to know each other better, the surrounds of the Chesapeake Bay and the many free time activities offered at the retreat center.
A special thanks to Pastor Frusti for his commitment and passion in sharing The Word with us and for engaging us in a very thoughtful and meaningful process to examine our lives as men of God. Also thanks to the men who attended. It was a great deal of fun and a lot of laughs. A crack (or shall we say “cracked”) team is already working on the second iteration of the retreat – stay tuned.
The last Thursday of every month, the Men’s Fellowship group meets for dinner and a fun program. The monthly fellowship dinner helps to unite the men and guests in fellowship at Living Savior.
Living Savior Lutheran Church is located just south of Fairfax City on Route 123. Living Savior Lutheran is a welcoming church that serves the Lord. Living Savior ministries have something for everyone, young and old. Our men’s ministry is particularly active with a variety of events that promote service and fellowship.
