Operations & Digital Communications Manager
Part-Time (approximately 30 hours per week)
Compensation: $25–$30 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Position Summary
Living Savior Lutheran Church is seeking a part-time Operations & Digital Communications Manager to support the life, ministry, and mission of our congregation through dependable coordination, clear communication, and consistent execution of church operations.
This role focuses on systems, processes, and communication — so that the Pastor, lay leaders, ministry teams, and volunteers can serve effectively. As congregational life becomes more connected and digitally engaged, this position helps ensure that information is timely, accurate, welcoming, and well-coordinated across calendars, facilities, and communication platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Church Operations & Administration
- Serve as a central point of contact for phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Maintain organized, digitized office records and procedures
- Manage the master church calendar, coordinating schedules across ministries, worship services, meetings, and facilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Pastor, Board of Servant Leaders, and Ministry Leads
Digital Communications
- Create and execute day-to-day digital communications across the church website, email communications, and social media
- Implement communication plans approved by church leadership
- Ensure communications are clear, welcoming, accurate, and theologically appropriate
- Support worship attendance, ministry participation, and outreach through consistent communication
Website & Social Media
- Maintain/update website content including worship times, events, visitor information, and ministry pages
- Create, schedule, and post social media content highlighting worship, congregational life, service, and outreach
- Coordinate with staff and volunteers to gather announcements, photos, and basic video content
Property & Facilities Support
- Coordinate building-use requests and scheduling for ministries, preschool, renters, and community groups
- Maintain accurate, digitized facility schedules aligned with the master calendar
- Assist with maintenance coordination, vendor communication, and follow-up as directed
Confidentiality & Collaboration
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all pastoral, congregational, and sensitive matters
- Work collaboratively with the Pastor, lay leadership, staff, and volunteers
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in church operations, administration, communications, digital media, and office management (church experience preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with consistency and attention to detail
- Comfortable working under direction while collaborating with pastoral and lay leadership
- Alignment with Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod theology, mission, and congregational life
- Proficiency with common digital tools (email platforms, websites, calendars, social media, document management, Excel)
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
- Compensation: $25–$30 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
- Some schedule flexibility is required around worship services, seasonal services, and special events
